Palmetto Bay is a village in the Miami-Dade county area of Florida, and nestled directly in the Miami metropolitan area. It includes two neighborhoods that were formerly census-designated places (CDPs): Cutler and East Perrine. Palmetto Bay had its beginnings in the same time as the construction of the South Miami and Coconut Grove areas, being settled largely by immigrants moving down from the Northern portions of the United States. Being on the water, Palmetto Bay was a host to plentiful agricultural opportunities and expansion throughout the many decades since its founding. It would eventually flourish into the Palmetto Bay known today, an area with ample career opportunities and beautiful homes that look out on to the aforementioned bay area. It also has a sort of rural charm to it in that it is still rich in agriculture and vegetation, though the expansion throughout the area and its proximity to Miami have mixed in the big city amenities as well. No matter the reason, Palmetto Bay is highly rated in both areas to visit and to live
Palmetto Bay gets the typical Florida experience with high heats and high humidity stretching throughout the year. Very rarely does the temperature drop beneath fifty degrees Fahrenheit. The most humid months tend to be June through August, and the precipitation is noticeable. Palmetto Bay can also experience heavy rainfall and occasional thunderstorms, which rarely leads to flooding from the nearby bodies of water.
